Volunteer Fosters Needed To Provide "Safe" & "Adequate" Temporary Living Environment For Pets Waiting To Be Adopted.
We are not a shelter our dogs are placed in foster homes with volunteers until they are adopted. We are a volunteer based group.

Recent Success Stories

Lilly was found in a bush as a tiny puppy with both of her back legs severely broken. She was brought to the rescue right away to receive medical care and be placed in a volunteer foster home for rehabilitation. She soon proved that her spirit was strong, climbing the sofa with two broken legs! After several months and a lot of medical care she was adopted into her new home, where she is now growing up happy and healthy.

Before he came to Healthy Pets Alive Rescue & Adoption, TJ was living with an alcoholic owner who loved him, but could not properly provide for him. Once at the Rescue, he received medical care, healthy food, and lots of love until he could be placed for adoption. As an older dog, TJ would have been at risk in a shelter that euthanize "unadoptable" dogs. Luckily for TJ, HPARA is a no-kill rescue. He was given the time he needed to find his forever home, where he is now living happily with his new family.

We are a non-profit, no-kill animal rescue group It is the only alternative, cage-free no-kill animal rescue in the area.

Some of the animals remain with us in life-long care, and some are fostered by residents in the surrounding areas.
